“We owe our children- the most vulnerable citizen in any society- a life free from violence and fear”

Nelson Mandela

Children the weakest and most vulnerable members of the society needs to be supported and deserve to have their rights. It can be done when we motivate and mobilize society to catalyse change on their behalf.

Why It Is Needed

Children in India continue to suffer due to issues like such as lack of safety, poor hygiene, illiteracy and exploitation.

  • 10.13 million Child labourers. (Census 2011)

  • 150 children go missing every day. (NCRB 2016)

  • Crimes against children have been increased by more than 500% over the last 10 years. (NCRB 2016)

  • 1 in every 3 child brides in the world is a girl in India. (UNICEF)

Children are perhaps the most "voiceless" segment of the population and it is up to us to recognize their issues and work together to address them.

How we do it

Ray of hope aims at addressing and solving challenges related to child rights child sexual abuse, child labour, child marriage, child trafficking to name a few.
